App

You can create and manage your own apps in the Gency API Center.

Basic Information​

When you create an app, you can configure the following information.

  • App icon & name: This icon and name are displayed in the following situations:
    • OAuth authorization consent screen
    • Bot user profile (Bot: {앱 이름})
  • Description (up to 500 characters): Describes the purpose and functionality of the app.

Credentials​

When you create an app, the following credentials are automatically issued.

  • Client ID: Issued in the gency_client_{랜덤문자열} format. Used to identify the app in the OAuth flow.
  • Client Secret: Issued in the gency_secret_{랜덤문자열} format. Clicking the Reissue Secret button issues a new secret, and the existing secret is immediately invalidated.
  • Redirect URIs: A list of redirect URLs used in the OAuth authorization flow. The redirect_uri passed in an authorization request must exactly match one of the URIs registered here.

Scopes​

Select the OAuth scopes the app will use via checkboxes. Only the scopes registered here can be passed in an authorization request.

API Key​

A key that lets you call the API conveniently instead of using OAuth tokens.

  • Once you enable the API Key, you can use the API Key.
  • When enabled, a Bot user is automatically created and registered as a team member.
  • Authenticate by passing the key in the X-API-Key header when calling the API.
  • You can enable/disable it with the toggle switch.
